PGA Qualified, ASQ Level 2 Coach
Andy is a fully qualified PGA Professional who recently completed his degree achieving a merit award and came 4th in the year of over 200 students. He is a Level 2 Golf Coach and also has a 2:1 Foundation Degree in Coach and Athlete Development (FdSc). He has built up his coaching knowledge over the last 5 years coaching players of all abilities. Andy successfully introduced the Get into Golf programme at the club which has helped people who have never played the game before become regular golfers and active members of the golf club. Andy is an experienced golfer who has been playing golf for 21 years and turned pro off plus 3. He represented Great Britain in the World University Golf Championships, winning 2 bronze medals. Andy has played regularly on the EuroPro and Jamega Tours over the last 8 years, and has had multiple successes in Pro-Ams. The coaching and playing experiences have given Andy the qualities to help you improve and enjoy your golf.

What do you love about the game of golf?
I love the variety the game can give you. There is a wide range of different golf courses which require a whole variety of shots in wildly different weather conditions.
What is the best golfing advice you have been given?
The importance of finding your own tempo.
What do you enjoy about coaching the game?
I really enjoy seeing my player’s progress and improve in their golf. It gives me great satisfaction to know players are improving under my instruction, and it feels good to share my golfing experience with others.
What would you like to achieve in the game?
I have aspirations of being a European Tour Player and I have a lot of experience to help me get there. However, I love to coach and I hope my understanding of the game as a player will be a key factor in my progression as a coach.
